Batch
systems typically comprise a make-up tank and one or more use tanks. The
ingredients
of your recipe are measured into the make-up tank where they are mixed together
and may
be heated or cooled. When this mixture is complete the product is transferred to
a use tank.
The use tank is designed to maintain the product's characteristics while the
material is being
withdrawn to be used in the process. The make-up and use tanks can be mounted on
load
cells for accurate weighing of the make-up ingredients and for inventory control
of the mixed
solution. The material is withdrawn from the use tank using one or more pumps,
and the
discharge rate can be measured by using the load cells or by pumping through
flow meters.
Depending on the process, additional items such as external heat exchangers,
condensers
or evaporators can also be included with these systems. The instrumentation
required
to ensure that the product is within the required specifications is also
included in the package.
The control system is designed to monitor all aspects of the process. All of the
required process
and utility piping is mounted on a stainless steel framework. The electrical
devices are wired
and tested prior to shipment. Control panels can be mounted on the skid or
remote mounted.
